About the Author
Harold J. Weekley of Chattanooga, Tennessee, died June 28, 1998, at the age of 84. He was the stalwart of the Blue Ridge Institute, having attended the Institute for 52 consecutive years and serving as its president in 1955 and 1956. A West Virginia native, Weekley was a highly respected United Way executive in North and South Carolina and, finally, in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He was a devoted Rotarian and an active member and leader of the First Presbyterian Church. He was loved by his associates at Blue Ridge and is missed dearly.
